Well, if it isn’t the Atom Smasher… 😯
Yeah, yeah it’s black and white, but at least the story is going forward… slowly… 😀
And don’t forget to check out the latest Vote Incentive Bonus Story!!! Starring: The Owl!
Looks like a trap there…
You know i think you might be right it does remind me of Archie’s origin and i must say this is the first piece of tech that actually looks believable great job!
The old “I’m right behind you…” trick, eh?
Best trick in the book. 😀
Something i would like to know is if you have tried submitting your designs at Project: Rooftop http://www.tencentticker.com/projectrooftop/ it is always a great read especially their Retrofix sections.
They always have some pretty cool looking designs up. But I’m not a competition kind of guy…
That my be but some of your work could be shown in their RETROFIX sections.
(Insert needed amount of hints until realization occurs)
It reminds me of a large radial aircraft engine.
That’s what inspired me. Well, for the bottom part at least. The top part has more of a nuclear bomb kind of look to it. It IS an Atom Smasher, after all. 😉
When you get a chance you really need to see Capt. America
Excellent movie and I thought of this webcomic while looking at the tech and sets.
Yeah. I have mixed feelings about seeing it though… 😕
How come?? Its great??
Yeah, it looks great and has that cool pulpy feel that’s right up my alley. It goes way back to the early 2000’s when I sent some submissions to Marvel that had a “realistic” version of Cap wearing army fatigues and shooting .45s at Nazi’s and giant robots.
Needless to say I didn’t get hired, but soon after The Ultimate version of Cap came out…
Just when I think I’m over it, it hits a nerve. 😀
I had forgotten that
Well, it’s my own fault for not starting Heroes, inc. earlier. Besides good ideas are dime a dozen. 🙂
Oh just post it here as a tie-in to the movie and get over it.
This is giving me half-life flashbacks. “You’re in the Test Chamber today, Gordon” “I have assured the Administrator nothing can possibly go wrong”
Wow. I just came across your webcomic a few days ago and It’s one of the most addictive comics I’ve read. You’re writing is the strongest part and the story has a Mark Millar/Ultimates vibe. Not sure if you’re a fan or whether it’s coinidence. Anyway I’m going to keep reading regardless of how long it takes to come out.
Thanks! nice to hear from new readers. I first came up with Heroies, inc. a long time ago, way before Ultimates. Being a “nobody” I had my doubts about going through with it, but decided to just do it anyways.
We’re going through some family tragedy right now and comics are the farthest from my mind, but I think I’ll be getting back to Heroes, inc (and other things) really soon.
Oh! So sorry to hear that. 🙁
I’ve changed my mind. It’s not from Half-Life, they’ve invented disco 🙂 That’s the mirror ball prototype.
Keep stopping by, hoping to see a new episode – but nothing.
You’ve seen this right?
But keep your eyes open, because something will be happening in the next week…
Honestly, Heros Inc was awesome, even if only done in b/w and pencil it still is one of the more original ideas i seen, opposed to Married to my wife which I really don’t dig. I wonder why you left this project yet continue Married to?
Well, to be honest, I don’t ever see Married to my Wife something that will ever be my income. A comic strip is something that I always wanted to do as a kid, it’s super fast to throw out there (mostly copy/paste) and It’s fun.
Don’r get me wrong, I LOVE Heroes, inc. but it’s just a complete time killer. Especially as a “hobby” Maybe that will change down the road… maybe I might finally get picked up by one of the BIG comic companies and I’ll be able to do this creator-owned project.
Heroes is a nice idea, and you did it well, but – no, cant see it rocking the shelves.
There are better Ideas done with far greater artwork out there, which are still not syndicated.
Good on you, realising the lack of financial payback for this kind of workhours.
You are a great writer, and the your art is fine, but same as you, I think making enough Money of a one-man-webcomic is nearly impossible today.
Maybe one day somebody in comic-publishing will nick the idea, or even get you to lead such a project on the storytelling-side, but as a self-owned, moneymaking project?
Sorry, dont see it.
Love “Married to”, by the way.
Could even be a better moneymaker than Heroes in the right publication.
But a good thing anyway. Got it bookmarked and linked it to some people.
Loving this comic..big fan of these characters even before I saw thier return somewhat different in Terra Obscura from America’s Best Comics.
