So it’s bck to the 40’s which is personally my favorite part of this comic. I wish there was more of it.
Could’ve been beetter if you’d had a 3rd panel for the last line, but then again… There’s no sense on putting a panel just for one small line.
I was planning on a closeup panel of Archie with the “What?!” dialogue, but got lazy and dropped it. 😀
I also like the back story better.
Its good to have you back
Well, I’m HOPING (and mind you this is NOT a promise) to have a new weekly vote incentive start at the beginning of next month.
Starring… The Owl and The Black Bat!
Ahem….. Squeeeeeeeee. I would love to see the redesigns.
The room design looks a tad too modern and not enough mad scientist like.
The thing is that everything (except the laser thingy in the corner) is based on lab and tech equipment from between the 1940’s and late 50’s.
I’m thinking that these guys had stuff before everyone else so going into the 50’s wasn’t that much of a stretch.
I was waiting for an explanation like that anyway the thing i have a problem with here is the equipment being so white to me it should be kind of hastily assemble non mass manufactured kind of thing.
I say this because it would be a great line to have Archie chastising a younger scientist in the 21st century about complaints about the equipment when they had to work with equipment they had made by hand.
Yeah that’s my main nitpick I think, everything looks production line….high tech in that time wasnt, mostly handmade.
Ah, the good old days – when the Charcoal Crusader was still allowed to smoke indoors. Here, we are about to witness the creation of his sidekick, Barbecue Boy!!!
Ok, I’m done with the bad puns – for now…
I’d almost given up on this comic. It had been a couple weeks since I’ve checked it, this time.
Glad to see you back, and things moving again.
I hate to nit-pick, but that lab looks more ’80s than ’40s. Meters, lots of meters, knobs and switches, maybe a round-tube CRT (like old oscilloscopes) or two, but instruments like that are pretty definitely ’80s.
It’s been a good story so far, so I’ll forgive your anachronism in the lab.
Well the images upon images that I went through when looking for referance of that age were all 1940’s and 50’s.
But I agree that it could/should be a bit more pulpy. There’s some other things that I’d like to add too…
Updates on MONDAY*
*of every other month
Aw, man! 🙁
Well, I guess I deserve that…
At least the incentive is up.
