Another attractive, top-notch episode! I wonder if this is a turning point where Benton will “give up” prison life.
Benton is about to do something gloriously stupid and amazing, isn’t he?
..i think that guard’s about to have an unpleasant experience
…he kinda reminds me of that prison guard from Green Mile… man i hated that guy…

I wonder what is going to happen when Benton finds out exactyl what is going on. I am betting it won’t be pretty.
The “here he comes to save the daaaay!” line cracked me up. I like this guy =)
Yeah.
That and the “No self-respecting man should wear their underwear on the outside of their pants” line from issue 1 pretty much tells you how he feels about superheroes…
He did wear a costume once…….granted no underwear though.
Well he had underwear, He just kept them under his pants… And his costume (at least my version) was more militaristic than superhero.
Well, if Lawrence won’t hulk out, I’m betting Benton will ‘make an effort’ to get there post haste. Poor guard.
For some reason, my first thought of the last panel was: “You have three seconds to remove that hand before you lose it.”
I’d say that Boone’s costume is a bit more “Rocketeer” than militaristic.
But hey, its hard to go wrong with black leather, spandex on the other hand…….well, there should be an application process.
The anchor doesn’t seem to amazed that there is a lazer fight going on. Are lazers common technology now?
Well, actually he is… that’s why he makes the remark “…as if superheroes weren’t enough…” and “this is lunacy…”
In other words he’s basically “WTF is going on?!”
I thought he seemed pretty shocked.
My mistake, I thought the lunacy was directed towards the fact that it was a priest being gunned down, and not that they were using lasers to do it. I misread it.
